The Sandown Greyhound Racing Club is pleased to announce that pre-eminent Melbourne jeweller and trophy supplier, Catanach’s Jewellers, will be the sponsor of the 2026 Laurels Classic at Sandown Park.
The Group 2 Catanach’s Jewellers Laurels Classic will headline Ladies’ Night on Friday 13 November, along with the Group 3 Shootout.
On-course patrons will have the opportunity to “Dig for Diamonds”, where one lucky person will walk away with a Catanach’s Jewellers 18ct yellow gold 8 point star diamond set, on a 9ct yellow gold chain, worth $3,000.
The prestigious 2026 Marg Thomas Award will be presented, and Simone Fisher will interview previous Marg Thomas Award winner, Dawn Johnston, as well as young Group 1 winning trainers Jess Hopkins, Kayla Cottrell and Korie-Lee Heinrich.
General Admission tickets are free, and buffet dinner tickets start from $45 each, which includes live entertainment by Taryne Fletcher, and a free cocktail on arrival.
